The story behind the name.

When we made the decision to build our own home in 2013, we found a wonderful piece of wooded land just south of Greenwood. We immediately knew this was the place for us! At eight months pregnant with our third child, I hiked part of the 60 acres to find a rocky creek-bed that ran down most of the property. This creek, fed by a large pond, has become a wonderful play place for our little brood and now runs adjacent to some magnificent hiking/biking trails (thanks to our creative sister!). We discovered that the pond had been an actual working quarry many years ago, and we were able to excavate several huge boulders to create an outdoor patio. When the opportunity to create our own road name arose, many variations of our last name, Brown, and rock, stone, quarry were suggested. We landed on BrownStone and it quickly became how we referred to our property and it felt right to carry it over to our business. Brownstone encompasses the desire we feel for your home to be a lasting legacy for your family, just as our family land and home are for ours.
